Module No 8: Passengers With Special
Needs

Module Purpose
This Module helps participants
review and improve the service they provide for passengers with special needs,
including those with disabilities.
Module Sections
This Module is divided
into the following Sections:
- Disabilities of M40
passengers and their taxi service requirements
- Customer service towards
passengers with special needs
- Ethical behaviour towards
passengers with special needs
- Taxi Transport Subsidy
Scheme
Module Learning Outcomes
When you have finished
this Module you should be able to:
- Identify a selected
range of common disabilities which passengers classified in the M40 category
may have and the specific service requirements they will require from the
taxi service
- Demonstrate positive
and supportive customer service and communication towards passengers with
special needs in the M40 category
- Behave ethically and
avoid any form of sexual harassment, or physical or mental abuse or intimidation
to passengers with special needs
- Comply with current
procedures of the Taxi Transport Subsidy Scheme
